Project #1 – CAMP 2014

Project #1 – CAMP 2014

This project is due at 9:00am on Monday the 6th of April. You will be able to spend some time in class on this project but for the most part, most work will be done at home.

The project has three distinct parts as outlined below.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me via email or speak to me before school or at m’tea/lunchtime. Asking questions for clarification is a key skill in order to achieve top marks – please ask all questions that you are unsure about in order to give yourself the best chance to get 100%. Ask questions early!

Task 1
Complete all existing tasks within your camp book. This includes all page numbers, titles, borders as well as completing your prayer plan, your liturgy quotation page, and your ‘feelings before and after camp’ page. See the list at the front of the class if you would like to be sure you have completed all questions fully or… ASK!
MARKING – You will start off with 25 marks and lose one mark for every error that is found.

Task 2
Complete the following four writing tasks. Each task will be covered in class and a rubric related to how you can achieve top marks will be handed out at that time.
Task
Description
Date covered in class
2.1
Write a letter of thanks to one adult who helped make Camp possible. Send this letter in envelope provided by Mr Theo. Good quality draft in Camp books, A1 quality letter on refill/paper.
Before
21st March
2.2
Complete a poem based on camp feelings and emotions. Draft and A1 copy in Camp books (draft should show re-crafting).
Before
25th March
2.3
Reflection/learning about yourself. Look back to some of the feelings that you experienced and how you handled those. What did you learn about yourself? Explain this in a reflection
Before
28th March
2.4
A moment in time. Select a moment in time to write about from your camp experience. Make this as vividly descriptive as possible.
Before
3rd April
MARKING – Each task will be marked out of 25. Rubric will be glued in your camp books.

Task 3
You will need to utilize a piece of technology/an app or tool to make your project more interactive. I suggest you use either Aurasma or Tellagami – but if you know another tool then please speak to me about what you wish to do.
MARKING – Your use of technology will be marked out of 15 with 7 marks awarded for creativity and 8 marks awarded for clarity of information sharing.

You will need to track when you have completed each task on the class list on the rear wall in Kākāpō.

You can either type up and glue in your work (please try and not have a number of pages folded over one another – cut out your page or shrink your work down to fit on one page) OR you can write your work into your camp book in your neatest writing.

For writing tasks 2.1, 2.3, 2.4, your word guide is 1.5 pages minimum to 2 pages maximum handwritten work (approx. 300-400 words).

GOOD LUCK!!!

MR THEOBALD, MS DELAHUNTY & MRS SAMS
